Lake Cruises
Climb aboard the 46-passenger "Osprey" for a 2-hour lake tour with a naturalist. From November through February, tours focus on the Bald Eagles and unusual birds who make Cachuma Lake their winter home. The museum includes the Carriage House which was dedicated to the late Tom Parks and Fred Bixby by Mrs. Betty Parks and Mrs. Elizabeth Bixby Janeway. This impressive building houses an outstanding collection of more than 35 horse-drawn vehicles. Included are surreys, stage coaches, phaetons,
carts, broughams, and buckboard wagons, as well as a hitch wagon, dray, runabout, hearse, hunt wagon, shooting brake and military supply wagon. Many are on permanent loan from the Los Adobes de los Rancheros. www.syvm.org/

The motorcycles in the museum are from the private collection of Virgil Elings. He has been collecting motorcycles for 2 decades. The collection is quite broad with something for everyone, ranging from a 1910 FN to the present, and across all makes. The emphasis is tilted toward racing motorcycles since Virgil and his son Jeff were involved in vintage motorcycle racing, both motocross and road racing.
