10am – 5pm
Los Olivos’ most highly acclaimed festival of the year, the popular Day in the Country is back. Join us for a weekend of vendors, specials, small-town parade, food, wine + beer, and everything you love about our small town as we Celebrate Los Olivos.
This special day is a wonderful opportunity for families to enjoy country living the way it used to be in simpler times. And best of all, attendance is free!
Day in the Country is our most fun event of the year – a Los Olivos tradition of celebrating our quaint country town. Join us to celebrate with a small town parade, NatureTrack 5k & Fun Run, 100 vendor booths, Wine + Beer Garden, live music, food trucks and Wine Roundup through town at our award-winning wineries.
NatureTrack Fun Run & 5K Run
It’s not a Day in the Country if it doesn’t start with the traditional 5K and Fun Run, hosted by NatureTrack! This race will be a true 5K this year, so those who are serious about 5Ks know the course will be USTAF certified. But, of course, we’ll still have the 1-mile Fun Run for kids 12 and under, and a race for you to run with your four-legged furry friends!
Wine Roundup
During Day in the Country, get a wine tasting pass to our award-winning wineries, and hit the town. Simply pre-order, then pick up your pass from our Wine + Beer Tent on the corner of Alamo Pintado and San Marcos (east of the flagpole). If you can’t pick up on Saturday, pick up your pass at the Los Olivos General Store on Sunday.
The pass costs $50, and gets you 2 tastes at 9 places on the pass (for a total of 18 tastes over 2 days). Wineries will offer add-on and purchase specials when you visit, and you can use the pass Saturday and Sunday.
2024 Participating Wineries:
1. Alexander & Wayne
2. Arthur Earl
3. Ca’ Del Grevino
4. Coquelicot
5. E11even
6. Epiphany
7. Evans Ranch

Is there a time frame for the day? Last year it was 7am-4pm.
losolivosca says
There is no parade or street closure this year, so it is from 11am – 5pm. I can email you more info…
Jennifer Marie Knight says
If a vendor is interested in setting up a table somewhere is this possible? Or a local realtor?
losolivosca says
We are only featuring local Los Olivos businesses that day! Our email is info@losolivosca.com.
Charlie Webb says
So Is there an event? I always bring my family but this just seems like a standard weekend of wine tasting, no vendors, no booths and no entertainment, is that right? What makes this an event, not trying to be rude just trying to understand what to expect…
losolivosca says
It is a day of deals for our businesses in town, plus the Scarecrow Fest is happening! This year, it is more of a day to get deals from 16 businesses listed on the page, and less of a family activity day.
Diane says
are you doing the wine tasting event this year i enjoyed it 2 years ago it was the best.
losolivosca says
Yes we are! If you are on our mailing list, you will get more info soon.
losolivosca says

Sue says
Since tickets are sold out can I buy tasting tickets at the festival? Can I taste wines at the tasting rooms?
losolivosca says
You can’t buy Wine Roundup passes at the festival – they are all sold out. But yes, tasting rooms are open as usual!
Amy C Ibach says
Since the wine event is sold out, does that mean none of the wineries will be open for tastings?
losolivosca says
No, it doesn’t; tasting rooms are open as usual!
Kevin Bryan says
Is the Alissa fire going to result in cancellation of the event due to smoke or evacuations?
losolivosca says
The event will be on, unless we have evacuations in our towns in the Santa Ynez Valley.

We attended and I ran the 5k. Great event !!
I am trying to connect with the vendor who was selling the rustic art and had the Frida Kahlo art pieces. I really hope to find them. I didn’t have my wallet at the time and wanted some of their items. Thanks so much!
losolivosca says
Happy to hear you liked it! Will have to ask about the art vendor…if we find any info we’ll let you know.

Socorro says
I have a question regarding Wine Tasting pass. Can a couple share one pass and get one taste at each or is it one pass per person?
losolivosca says
You can share! Each pass gives you one wine glass for 2 tastes, so you would just buy 1 pass, get 1 glass and share each pour.
Socorro says
Thanks for responding. Since I hadn’t heard back I bought two passes. I’m usually the DD so only sips for me.
Kim Morris says
Where is the link to get 2 passes for this year’s A Day in the Country? Thank you, Kim
losolivosca says
Do you mean the Wine Roundup at Day in the Country?
losolivosca says
The Wine Roundup ticket link is now live! Refresh the Day in the Country page to see it…
Lilly B says
Is it recommended to share a wine roundup pass with a friend/partner for a one day visit? We will be 4 friends, wondering if we will all need our own pass or could share 2. Thanks!
losolivosca says
You can share 2! But each pass only gets 2 tastes at the winery (9 wineries in total)…so it’s not much to share.
Patricia Fernandez says
Where’s the best place to park?
Also can I get directions? Please and thanks
