The Los Olivos Chamber is excited to announce the 3rd Annual Los Olivos Pie Contest in
conjunction with our town’s Day in the Country fall celebration! This year it is all about Pumpkin!

This contest is open to all residents of the Santa Ynez Valley, except for professional bakers.

There will be one (1) Open Division. First 15 pie entries.

Pie(s) and recipe must be checked in by Saturday, October 10, 2026, at The Grange in downtown Los Olivos 2374 Alamo Pintado Avenue by 9am or dropped on Friday, October 9 at The Bakery Farmstand 2880 Olivet Avenue, Los Olivos between 10-12noon. If either of those drop off times do not work, please email info@losolivosca.com.
Prizes for 1st -$75.00, 2nd -$50.00, 3rd -$25.00
Contest held during out town’s Day in the Country celebration on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at 10:00 am at Lavinia Campbell Park in Los Olivos. Winners announced at the end of the parade!

OFFICIAL RULES AND REGULATIONS:
1. Contest is open to all residents of the Santa Ynez Valley, except for professional bakers.
2. Can enter more than one pie into contest as long as a different recipe.
3. No Entry Fee. Register online through Los Olivos Chamber of Commerce website: www.losolivosca.com – under the Events tab.
4. Pie(s) must be home made from scratch to include filling and crust. Pie(s) must be freshly baked in a disposable baking tin. Pie(s) must be 100% pumpkin. No other fruits or ingredients. No store-bought canned pumpkin pie filling or store-bought pie shells or rolled crust allowed.
5. Pie(s) must be crusted.
6. Pie(s) recipe(s) must be TYPED or LEGIBILTY HANDWRITTEN or PRINTED on a 5"x 8" index card. All ingredients must be listed, and entrants name must not be listed on index card.
7. Pie(s) and recipe must be checked in by Saturday, October 10, 2026, at The Grange in downtown Los Olivos 2374 Alamo Pintado Avenue before 9am or on Friday, October 9 between 10-12noon at the Bakery Farmstand 2280 Olivet Avenue, Los Olivos. Need to make another delivery arrangement, please email info@losolivosca.com.
8. Judging begins at 10, and Winners announced at the conclusion of the town’s parade.
9. The Los Olivos Chamber of Commerce will select the judge(s). Judges will use a scoring scale point system of 1-5, (With 5 being the highest point) to assess entries with a perfect score of 100. Pie(s) will be judged before initial slicing on overall appearance for 15 points and 10 points for creativity. After the pie(s) are sliced they will be judged on crust for 20 points, 25 points for filling and 30 points for flavor. Scoring will be sole responsibility of the judges and the judge’s results will be final. Judges score sheets will be available to entrants upon request after contest is over and winners have been announced.
10. All entrants are asked to attend a Group or Single Contestant Picture before or after the contest.
11. All entrants are asked to donate their pie(s) for public tasting after the contest.
12. First Place-$75.00, Second Place-$50.00 and Third Place-$25.00
